Christmas Cheesecake
My Christmas gift to you is this delicious recipe courtesy of Gooseberry Patch;
This recipe has the advantage of making delicious cheesecake without the bother of a spring form pan.
Crust: 1/2 c white flour
1/3 c softened butter
1/2 c brown sugar
Combine flour, butter and sugar; pat in an ungreased 8″ square pan (or use a round pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven.
Filling:
2-8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c sugar
2 large eggs
4 T. milk or cream
2 T. lemon juice
1 t. vanilla
Using an electric mixer, combine ingredients until smooth. Spread over partially baked crust. Bake 30-35 minutes more at 350 degrees. Decorate with your favorite toppings, such as cranberries, chocolate syrup,raspberry sauce, peppermint sprinkles or chocolate shavings. Enjoy!
